Figure Drawings

I tried using markers for this one, which I have never done before.

I really need to practice faces.

The left sock is yellow

I was cleaning my computer desk this afternoon, and I found the CSSSA Animation dept. photo I got. Shortly thereafter, I found some loose paper inside a drawer and decided to draw for a while instead of continue cleaning. This happens every time I'm told to clean my desk. I find some long lost art material and then just end up drawing.

Art Gallery Opening

I had an art gallery opening last Thursday at school. The theme was self portraits. This is the finished product of my self-portrait oil painting. I had to do a panel with some sort of texture thing to go beside it, which is what you see on the left.

Another project we had was to do a self portrait in graphite. This is what I came up with. I'm not very happy with the results, and if I was doing it over I would have gone in a completely different direction. Part of the criteria was to use text, which is the background.

These pictures were taken with a camera phone, soooo they are kind of bad quality.

Figure Drawings

I drew these @ Calarts on Thursday and Friday. I need practice, so bad. I'm gonna start going to Emily Carr in Vancouver and practicing figure drawing there.
